School choice and vouchers are continuing to change the elementary and high school market. Have you thought about how these changes are going to affect your programming? [...] Every nonprofit wants to receive major gifts and bequests. Most nonprofits are actively soliciting major gifts and bequests. Is there anything that you can do to improve your success rate? [...] The supporters of your organization have the potential to be evangelists for your organization and mission. Are they? If your school is like most schools, some are great evangelists and others are lackluster at best. How do you raise all of them to evangelist status? [...] Now would be a great time for a donation. There are always bills that need to be paid. However, what is the real urgency? How do you make the urgency personal to the donor? It is a rare donor who is thrilled to pay to keep the lights on. Most donors want to see the mission move forward. Paying to keep the lights on is management’s responsibility.
