Meeting donor expectations is more than honoring their gift by using it the way the donor intended. At one time, life was that simple. Today, donors have more expectations. They want to customize the communications flow, pick and choose what to give to, receive immediate feedback, have their opinions sampled, and be rewarded for their contributions. They are well intentioned when they give. They are well intentioned when they demand the other services. […] Good fundraising practices says that after recruiting a donor one should cultivate their interest, help them connect their passion with some aspect of the Christian school, and encourage their generosity. It makes sense but after you have a few names on the donor list how do you find time to recruit new and cultivate existing? […] Sad but true, once in awhile a parochial school runs desperately short on funds. It may even find its self with too little to pay the teachers. What should it do?
