Now would be a great time for a donation. There are always bills that need to be paid. However, what is the real urgency? How do you make the urgency personal to the donor? It is a rare donor who is thrilled to pay to keep the lights on. Most donors want to see the mission move forward. Paying to keep the lights on is management’s responsibility. [...] For many people, all parochial schools are the same as all Christian schools, which are the same as … However, you and I know that every school is different. The challenge is to help the donors and the parents understand what the difference is and why it is important. A few simple things will highlight the difference. [...] Good fundraising practices says that after recruiting a donor one should cultivate their interest, help them connect their passion with some aspect of the Christian school, and encourage their generosity. It makes sense but after you have a few names on the donor list how do you find time to recruit new and cultivate existing?
